- Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other bodily fluids for examination and analysis.
- Inoculate animals against various diseases, such as rabies and distemper.
- Provide counseling to clients about their pets’ health and wellness, injuries or illnesses, treatment procedures, or euthanasia options.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret resulting images or reports.
- Train or supervise other employees who handle or care for animals while practice owner is away.
- Research diseases to which animals may be susceptible in order to treat patients.

Work/Life Balance:
Polaris Veterinary Center offers flexible scheduling, however a minimum of 20 hours per week, every other weekend, and Thursday afternoons are required.

• Mission Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center is a 27 year old, well established 24 hour critical care and referral hospital located in the central Kansas City metropolitan area. Our state of the art facility is fully equipped with in house laboratory diagnostics (e.g. blood gas, chemistry, electrolyte analyzers, coagulation evaluation, hematology, cytology), imaging equipment (digital radiology, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, color-flow Doppler, endoscopy, and monitoring tools (direct and indirect blood pressure, CVP, capnography, pulse oximetry, diagnostic and continuous EKG. Description/Details: Mixed animal clinic in central Nebraska. 50% small animal, 50% large animal. Large animal consist mostly of cow/calf, stocker, feedlot and some small ruminant work. New building in December 2015 with haul-in facilities, cattle runs, and sorting pens. Small animal examination rooms with back treatment area. Small animal surgery suite with gas anesthetic options.
Staffing includes two fulltime veterinarians (Class of 2003-Kansas State and Class of 2012-Iowa State), one part time veterinarian (Class of 2024-Iowa State); two vet techs, three veterinary assistants and a business manager.
Central City, Nebraska is a town of approximately 2900 people. Located in the heart of Nebraska toward the edge of the Sandhills in prime agricultural ground with many facets of crop production, livestock grazing and ethanol industries. Amenities include grocery store, pharmacy, multiple fast food chains, mom/pop eateries, and is located 25 minutes east of Grand Island (Nebraska's third largest city), west of Lincoln, NE 1.5 hours and west of Omaha, NE 2 hours. Airports in all three cities, pick up may be possible.

Description/Details: I am the only doctor with only one technician. I work 4 days a week with 3 scheduled days of small animal and large animal. One of the days I do the spays and neuters for our local shelter. The office is open 5 days a week and is usually busy even if I'm not there. I am available for small animal urgent care during business hours 5 days a week and I'm available for livestock ER 24/7. The area is predominantly cow/calf and I see a fair amount of sheep and goat herds in the spring.

Description/Details: Broken Bow Animal Hospital is a busy/progressive three-veterinarian large (food) animal practice in central Nebraska. Home to over 3700 friendly residents, Broken Bow is a thriving and progressive agricultural based community that offers a great school system, thriving hospital, large park system, new Aquatic center, new municipal library, large fairgrounds that hosts multiple equine events and many other local attractions. Broken Bow is a 1-1.5 hour drive to larger communities with other attractions and airports.
The practice is located at the southern edge of the "Cow Country," the Nebraska Sandhills. Custer County is the number 3 cow/calf county in the United States with over 92,000 cows. The practice consists of cow/calf production medicine and surgery, backgrounders, and smaller feedlots.
