Program Requirements

The Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine is a cooperative agreement between the states of Nebraska and Iowa.  Nebraska residents apply using VMCAS.  Students will be selected by the Nebraska Admissions Committee and will attend two years of Professional Veterinary School before transferring to Iowa.  The participating campuses are Lincoln, NE and Ames, IA.  Students who complete the four year program will receive a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.  Only verified Nebraska residents are eligible for admission in the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine.
