A new scholarship The Dr. Gary P. Rupp, Beef Cattle Production Scholarship has been established in honor of Dr. Rupp’s accomplishments as director of the University of Nebraska’s Great Plains Veterinary Education Center, from its inception in 1988 until 2010.  This scholarship will provide funds to students in the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine who demonstrate interest in beef animal production management.  The scholarship will be awarded for the first time in 2012.

Graduation for the PPVM Class of 2011 took place on May 7, 2011, in Ames, IA.  The Class of 2012 and 2013 are transitioning well to Iowa State and we continue to have positive feedback.  The students at UNL continue to study hard and make progress and the Class of 2015 has been selected.  The application deadline for the Class of 2016 is October 3, 2011.
